Artist Statement: Liminal Faces explores the threshold between the seen and unseen—those in-between spaces where perception softens and magic, myth, and nature converge. Created through needle felting—a process in which barbed needles are used to tangle and shape sheep’s wool—the collection presents three figures: a horned forest guardian with quiet aggression, a benevolent Green Man embodying age and wisdom, and an inquisitive fairy in a moment of discovery. Contrasted by our world of technology and distance from Nature, they gently ask the boundaries to soften, inviting a return to ancestral ways of seeing—when such presences were felt at the edges of daily life—and something ancient, watchful, and gently spiritual remains within reach, patiently waiting to reconnect with our shared sense of wonder
