  • Timeless Nullarbor is an abstracted expression of a large desert, flat, treeless, and arid. The method involved watercolor layers applied to stretched canvas and when sufficient layers had been applied the painting was sealed with archival matte varnish and a final thin layer of cold wax for a subtle sheen. This abstract piece is about the power of art to transcend worldly challenges. Mary Gardiner is an abstract expressionist and plein air painter who uses imagination and life experience to convey emotion. She words out of her studio 101 I, at the Gem Center for the Arts, 2417 Bank Dr, Boise, Idaho, and paints wherever she travels.
